Private Lesson Policies & Guidelines
Please observe our basic booking rules to ensure smooth strip coordination for all athletes:
- 12-Hour Booking Rule: Lessons must be reserved in Zen Planner or with the front office a minimum of 12 hours prior to the lesson time.
- 4-Hour Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted at least 4 hours in advance. Lessons cancelled with less than 4 hours notice will be charged.
- Duration & Limits: Each private lesson is 20 minutes of intense, individualized instruction. A maximum of two lessons per student may be booked on any single day.
- Primary Club Representation & Eligibility: Private lessons are available to SDFC members, including Athlete/Open Fencing members. Fencers taking private lessons must represent San Diego Fencing Center as their primary fencing club.
- Unified Coaching Team: If your regular coach is traveling for an NCAA meet or tournament, remember that our coaches follow a synchronized training curriculum. You may book with any available coach for your weapon.
